Driving Gays Wild

Gaycar

Is there really such thing as a gay-looking car? I think so. Sure, there's the typical Audi, VW and Mini Cooper-loving West Hollywood and Castro boy stereotype that comes to mind. I saw this for myself during a visit to Los Angeles to see Madonna at Dodgers Stadium. The traffic was so bad while leaving, that the only thing one could do was check out the ride each homo was driving out of the parking lot that unseasonably warm November night.

The Wealth Myth

200297977-001 I've often felt as though I don't make enough money to be gay. I earn a decent income, yes -- but the common perception of gay men is they're rolling in disposable cash: spending thousands on designer threads, showing off fabulous homes in luxe interior-decor magazines, and toting their Louis Vuitton luggage onto first-class flights to Ibiza. Keeping up with these gay Joneses is no easy feat.

Tech From the Future

Ces Forget the Adult Entertainment Expo in Vegas - the Consumer Electronics Show is the real hedonistic destination the first of the year. What's sexier than 1.7 million square feet of the latest tech toys (most of which haven't hit the market)? It's a beautiful hot mess.

Here are some of the coolest things we tried out on the floor (with a few Adult Entertainment Expo gadgets thrown in for good measure):

Tale of the Tapes

Cr248ch Whether it was about a boy you were crushing on or a homemade best-of collection, mixtapes were a required high school accessory - maybe even more than a can of mousse and a Trapper Keeper. We all have a bag of old tapes sitting somewhere in our parents' basement.

"Signature Style" is a new regular feature that puts the fashion spotlight on "regular" gay men across the country, because we want to see your style! This week, MGD24 shows off his look.

Mike2 Describe the sensation you get after you make a killer find.

Comparable to an orgasm, really happy, tingly and warm all over (and I can't wait to tell my friends about it).

Do you put a lot of effort into selecting the perfect underwear?

Underwear is my second favorite thing to shop for, so yes.

How much time a day do you spend on your hair?

Not that much, about 10-15 minutes (this includes washing, conditioning, styling and touch ups) a day.

Another Italian Job: Fiat 500 Reborn

Fiat500 The joke used to be that Fiat stood for "Fix It Again, Tony!" But a deal with Chrysler and a new generation of safe and stylish cars (like Mini Coopers and Smart) have positioned the Italian automaker for a comeback, particularly for its two-door 500 compact, a hit remake of its iconic model.

Patricia Araujo Shines at “Fashion Rio”

Patricia Rio closed its main fashion event of the year with less attention to the clothes than the model, a transgendered actress.

Patricia Araujo received a standing ovation after parading along the runway for the Complexo B brand to end the weeklong event in a city that delights in shocking the prudish with each year's Carnival celebration.

Nick Verreos Hosts Inaugural Fashion Show

Nickstyle Michelle Obama is not the first fashionista to move into the White House, nor was Nancy Reagan or even Jackie Kennedy. Mary Todd Lincoln was a style icon of her day, and quite a shopper too, according to Nick Verreos, the "Project Runway" alum tapped to host The California State Society's official inaugural celebration on January 18th.

"When I was doing research, I read that Mary Todd Lincoln spent more money in one year on clothes than her husband made," Verreos told the AP. "And her New York shopping trips were legendary."
